Eligibility for Membership
Membership in Beta Alpha Psi requires a person to have good moral character, achievement
in scholastic and/or professional excellence in the field of Accounting, Finance,
Information Systems and Decision Sciences. Also, candidates must be initiated according
to official and traditional ritual and must be in good standing with the University
and community.
Students will be eligible for membership if they are declared as Accounting, Finance,
or Information Systems and Decision Sciences as a major. Students must also have
a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.
Attendance and Participation
In order to stay in good standing, a member must accumulate 32 hours over the course
of the year. These 32 hours must be comprised of:
- 12 Hours of Professional Activities
- 12 Hours of Service Activities

- Up to five of these hours may be submitted for service in other organizations.
The non-BAP service hours form must be filled out in order to submit these hours.
- 8 extra hours of either Professional or Service Activities
If a member does not complete these hours during the year, they will no longer be
in good standing with the chapter.
Initiation and Dues
Initiation of new members will be held twice each year, once in the fall semester
and once in the spring semester.
Dues for pledges are $85 and must be paid in the semester pledging. Actives pay
$30 each semester following the semester they are initiated.
